Fall Dining Room Makeover

One of the major holidays during the fall season is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is the time of year when families gather around their dinner table and give thanks to God Family & Food. Although the look of the table might seem far down the list of importance, but to some it’s really important as their family approach the dinner table to break bread.

The season of Fall is the time of the year when the weather changes from heat to calm.  Because I love decorating for every season and any reason, I added a little aspect of Fall into every room in my home.  I have added pictures to this blog post so that you can see the result of my vision for the fall.

In the fall leaves are falling and Autumn is calling.  Autumn is known as the second (2nd) Spring, because like the flowers the bloom in the spring; the colors of the leaves make changes.  Also, remains a times of the year to watch the change of nature appear.  This change is usually a slow change, but if you take time to sit, you can Xantech the leaves turn colors.

When decorating for the fall, I try to make simple and small, but unique changes.  I have shared pictures of the great room, dining room, sitting room, bedrooms, and bathrooms.  In the living room, I made changes by adding pillows in fall colors and my theme colors.  I added fall-inspired trays and decor.  I Also added a fall theme over the fireplace and on the mantel.  For example, when spelling the word H O M E, I used a pumpkin instead of the letter E. Pumpkins are winter fruits that come out in the fall.  I also added small pumpkins to a try on the coffee table with candle the adorn seasonal colors. I used small floral sprays and ribbon to add flavor to many surfaces; with seasonal colors to adorn areas and flowers were changed throughout adding seasonal joy. I used seasonal colors or flowers to adorn and showcase flowery autumn blooms in my spaces.

The dining room was a focal point in the fall decorating plan, because one of the most significant holidays in the fall is Thanksgiving.  I prepared the dining room table for a Thanksgiving feast.  I highlighted every aspect of the dining table and dresses the buffet for use.  I dressed the table settings to be pleasant to the eye and not too matchy match.  The centerpiece was glamourfied so that the focus was present in the doing room table.  The theme was owls with were using sparingly and adorned the top layers of my place settings.

Autumn is Calling

Autumn is a second spring, when every leaf is a flower…

Hand towel and soap

Everyone must take time to sit and watch the leaves turn colors.

Most rooms and spaces were dressed with subtle energy with the goal of maintaining comfortability.  In the bedroom, just a simple change to one pillow changed the entire room.  In another bedroom a simple cover a the end of the bed made the entire room change.  This cover pictured may also be used as a table runner when rearranged your fall decor for the next season.

In some places a simple box or a floral spray gave autumn life to a room or space.  In the bathroom, a simple change of the soap or pump and towel can make the change in the bathroom for that August vibe.

The main goal of seasonal change should be to give continuous life to your home and happiness to your family and visitors. when selecting your colors, traditional colors are not the rule, but they are an option.  Choose colors that inspire you to fashion your home.  This is the same rule which should apply to your theme.  Choose a theme that gives you the energy and motivation to prepare for and embrace the season.

Accents on the sink were featured in green and yellow. The tray features soap and lotion buried in green and yellow leaves. This is a whole stem and the steam was twisted in the needed direction.

The vision you have in your mind, should be revealed in the decor you utilize to make your space or home Autumn Complete!

Daffodil Lane is the place where I reside. It is a place of happiness where my creativity flourishes. I love every room of Daffodil Lane from The Entry to The Movie Theater. I love making myself laugh and smile, as my creative feelings flow through my home. There are no rules to how creativity flows, so there should be no rules to decorating. I live each day thinking, dreaming, and wondering up new ideas. I spend countless hours on Pinterest. There is no such thing as “I can’t”, “I shouldn’t”, “I won’t” at Daffodil Lane. It is my home, my crib, my cottage, my refuge, my retreat, my safe place, my play space, my haven… I call my style Modern Livable.

I have captured a few photos of the living room to share with you. Please enjoy the view and let me know if you have any questions or additives about the living room and/ or the seasoning I have poured into my home.

The living room is the place in our homes where we invest in bonding and cohesion of family and friends.  It is also known as the Family Room, Great Room, Sitting Room, Front Room, Den, Lounge, Drawing Room, Waiting Room, TV Room, Reception Room, Morning Room, Salon, or Parlor.

It is a favorite location in the house that we talk, converse, play board games, watch television and movies, reminisce, listen to music, discover, discuss, and debate world events, have parties, enjoy each other’s company and simply chill out.

The living room is perfect place for creating synergy.and an environment of or a creating the perfect atmosphere.  There are for unique elements that can help create the synergy in a living room environment:  theater, automation, color, dual functionality, and livable (liveable)..

The use of live plants delivers nature into the home and brings dose of health into the home.  There are many positive reasons for decorating with live plans such as energizingg the mind and bringing calm into a stressful life.  Special care is need to keep plants healthy so there is a minimal amount of maintenance require as in any and everything.

The lighting is one of the biggest sources that needs to be rectified before beginning to decorate.  It is importance that your room have the right light for its space to be productive and lively.  Lighting alone can transform a room, so don’t leave it for last.  The selection of lighting  places a big role on color selection for paint for your walls, flooring, and your furniture.

The focal point of this living room is the TV Wall.  This wall was covered with a damask printed wallpaper that is a neutral tone and can blend with many color palettes.  The wallpaper was selected as the feature wall because its ability to quickly draw the eye of the viewer whether you are seeing it for the first time or see it on a daily basis.  It still mesmerizes me.  The neutral colors were selected so that the room can change colors without lots of movement within the room,  The teal color can not only be replace by the movement of the teal with in theorem, it can also grandstand when desired.  The feature paining on the walls has the ability to blend multiple colors in the living room with any season or holiday.

Neutral Tones inspire this living room with highlights of teal.

Outdoor living is the heart of spring, summer, and fall living. When we get a great day of weather in the winter, we remove all of the covers and run outside to enjoy the weather.

Here I share my deck addition to my home and share how I decorated and furnished my deck.  I wanted to share my ideas as part of my Home Tour.

In March of 2014, I purchased a new house.  I took 10 months to find the right house.  When the journey first began, I wanted to purchase a resale.  I wanted to buy something that I could put my decorating visions to work and not think about how much the home costs.  When I found a brand new 2014 home already built and it was priced below the resale homes in the area,  I could not resist.  So, I purchased a 4000SF home and I have been busy every since.   I have decorated  sooooooo many spaces in the home and I have also did a lot of Do-it-yourself projects.  Today, I am sharing a few pictures of the family room.

I will continue to share pictures and my many thoughts and ideas that contributed into the making of the family room.  The theme that I used was maps.  The paint on the wall is Sherwin Williams Greige.  There still remains some thoughts and ideas that I have for the family room and I will continue to update you.
